James (Jimmy) Margro grew up on Badger Street in New City. He was KIA on May 13, 1969 during the Hamburger Hill Skirmishes. Jimmy received 2 Silver Stars, a Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart among other awards. Clarkstown honored his service and sacrifice by placing a plaque above the local neighborhood street sign.
